Despite being behind for over 70 minutes, Amorim waited until stoppage time to make a substitution, bringing on 17-year-old Chido Obi.
The Portuguese coach explained that he was hesitant to bring on more youngsters during the game, fearing it could hinder their development in the high-pressure environment of the Premier League. Amorim emphasized his commitment to helping his players and expressed confidence in his work, despite the team’s struggles.
“My job is so hard, but I am here to continue my job to the next week with my beliefs, and I will try to win again,” Amorim said. “The place in the table is my worry, I am not worried about me.”
