The league will retain its established structure:

  • Zone One: Split into Zone 1A and Zone 1B, each comprising 8 teams
  • Zone Two: 16 clubs
  • Zone Three: 16 clubs

The format ensures regional rivalries remain central, with the winners of each zone earning automatic promotion to the Ghana Premier League. A total of 10 newly promoted clubs will enter the Division One League this season after securing qualification from the Regional leagues.

  • Zone 1A: Kalibi SC
  • Zone 1B: Steadfast FC, Techiman Eleven Wonders, Bactero FC

  • Zone Three: Kotoku Royals, Nukunu Sporting Academy, 7th Wave FC

The newcomers join experienced campaigners and former Premier League sides, setting up what promises to be another fiercely contested campaign.

With a mix of ambitious promoted teams and established Division One giants, the 2026/27 season is expected to deliver intense rivalries, compelling storylines and high-stakes encounters across all zones.
