Accra, January 20, 2025 – Ghana Athletics has officially inaugurated its Coaches and Athletes Commission at a ceremony held at the Ghana Athletics Secretariat in Accra.
The inauguration was attended by key officials, including the First Vice President of Ghana Athletics, Mr. Charles Osei Asibey, who congratulated both the athletes and coaches on their new roles.
Mr. Asibey advised the commissions to protect the brand and reputation of Ghana Athletics, avoiding internal politics that could tarnish the sport. He also tasked the Coaches Association with collecting data on athletes nationwide, which would help Ghana Athletics build a comprehensive database.
