The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has announced two key appointments aimed at strengthening the administration and technical growth of the sport in the country.
In a notice dated 13th August, 2026 and signed by Secretary General Kankpenuba Peter Nuntaa Wisdom, the Federation confirmed that the appointments were made by President Mr. Frederick Lartey Otu.
Mr. Simon Koku Gliukpor – Technical Director

Mr. Gliukpor takes over as Technical Director of the GTF. In this role, he will provide technical leadership and guidance to the Federation. He will work closely with the Executive Board, Regional Associations, coaches, referees, athletes and other technical stakeholders to enhance the development and performance of Taekwondo in Ghana.
Miss Hannah Akua Humphrey – Executive Board Member

Miss Humphrey has been named a Member of the GTF Executive Board. She will support the Board in implementing Federation policies, programmes and initiatives. She will also contribute to the effective administration and development of the sport and assist with financial matters as assigned by the Executive Board.
According to the Federation, the appointments are part of its commitment to building a “strong, professional, coordinated and development-oriented administration for the 2026–2030 term.”
All Member Regional Associations (MRAs) have been urged to extend the necessary cooperation, support and respect to both appointees to enable them to discharge their duties effectively.
Regional Chairpersons and Executives have also been encouraged to maintain close communication and collaboration with the Technical Director on technical matters, and with the Executive Board on administrative issues.
