The Felix Lartey Foundation, led by Ghana’s table tennis icon Felix Lartey, has made a substantial contribution to the growth of the sport in Ghana. On February 15, 2025, the foundation donated essential equipment to over 30 young players and clubs at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The donation, which included rubbers, rackets, and jerseys, aims to promote the sport and equip players with the necessary tools to enhance their training and improve their skills. Notably, Ghana’s number one female player, Joanita Borteye, was among the recipients, receiving a complete set of equipment.

Ekow Hayford Abban, a member of the Felix Lartey Foundation, emphasized the importance of senior players supporting junior players. “We urge other senior players to follow Felix Lartey’s example and contribute to the development of the sport. This donation will inspire young players to work harder and achieve their goals.”

Cynthia Kwabi, a teammate of Felix Lartey, praised the foundation’s commitment to giving back to the sport. “This donation is part of Felix’s dedication to supporting the next generation of table tennis players in Ghana. We commend the foundation for promoting the development of the sport.”

The Felix Lartey Foundation’s donation has injected new energy into Ghana’s table tennis community, and the recipients are eager to make the most of the equipment to improve their game.
