Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, Seth Panwum Boyoyo, has said that the Accra and Cape Coast Stadias are ready to host category 3 games.
According to Seth Panwum Boyoyo, who appeared before the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports on Wednesday, September 25, the two aforementioned venues have been prepared and are awaiting CAF’s inspection team.
He thus urged the committee and Ghanaians to disregard news circulating that the Black Stars will play their home game against Sudan in the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Togo.
“Please disregard reports of Ghana going to play its games in Togo. This committee should not give its attention to media rumours because we have written to CAF to come and check out our alternative venues.”
He added that all the necessary requirements needed to make both Accra and Cape Coast Sports Stadiums ready to host the Black Stars have been done.
“All the things CAF told us to do have been done, so we have written to them to bring their inspectors to come and inspect the venue, and I can tell you that once they come to see the venues, the Black Stars will play their home games in Ghana.”
