Ghana’s U-20 female national team, the Black Princesses, got their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup preparations off to a flying start with a dominant 4-0 victory over Polish side Sleza Wroclaw this afternoon.
The friendly, played behind closed doors at the Stadion Sportowy Olawka in Wroclaw, saw the Princesses put up a ruthless display from start to finish.
Goals from Jacqueline Ntoso, Priscilla Mensah, Ruth Amponsah and Diana Amoako sealed the emphatic win for Ghana.
Head Coach Charles Sampson used the encounter to assess his squad, build cohesion and fine-tune his tactical approach ahead of the global showpiece.
Ghana showed sharpness in attack and solidity at the back, dominating possession and creating numerous chances throughout the game.
This victory serves as a major morale booster for the team as they look to make history.The Black Princesses are making their eighth consecutive appearance at the U-20 Women’s World Cup and are still searching for their first qualification beyond the group stage.
The team will now continue their build-up before opening their Group C campaign against Ecuador on September 6, then South Korea on September 9, and France on September 12 at the Arena Sosnowiec.
