The Ghana Football Association has announced a massive financial injection for clubs and players across the country, with each Ghana Premier League club set to receive GH¢1 million ahead of the new season.

The announcement was made at the GFA’s 32nd Congress, where the FA outlined new rewards and support packages aimed at improving the welfare of clubs and individuals in Ghana football.
According to details released at the congress:
- Each GPL club will receive GH¢1 million
- The GPL champions will receive GH¢3 million in prize money
- Each WPL club will receive GH¢100,000
The 2026/27 GPL champions will also receive a JAC vehicle worth US$33,000, while the 2026/27 WPL champions will get a JAC vehicle worth US$29,000.
Players and coaches were not left out of the windfall.
- Best GPL Player: US$5,000
- Best WPL Player: US$5,000
- GPL Coach of the Season: US$5,000
- WPL Coach of the Season: US$5,000
- Best Domestic Black Stars Player: JAC vehicle worth US$38,000
The GFA also announced a GH¢16.24 million support package for Division One League clubs to help stabilize the second tier.
In a major move for player welfare, the association confirmed that former national team players will benefit from a four-year US$200,000 support package.
The financial announcements mark one of the biggest reward packages in recent GFA history and are expected to ease the financial burden on clubs ahead of the 2026/27 football season.
