The National Sports For All Association Ghana (NASFAAG) has concluded a 5-day Intermediate Fitness Instructors Course at the National Sports College, Winneba. The course, held from March 29 to April 2, 2026, attracted 40 participants from 10 regions and 60 students from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

Led by facilitator Prof. Emmanuel Osei Sarpong, the course covered key areas such as wellness, physical fitness, and exercise prescription. Participants gained practical skills in fitness assessment, injury prevention, and communication.
Special guest Madam Betty Krosbi Mensah, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Sports and Recreation, urged instructors to promote healthy lifestyles in their communities. “It’s up to us as instructors to go back to our various communities and make them aware of the importance of keeping active,” she said.

Prof. Sarpong praised participants for their perseverance and enthusiasm, saying, “You are now equipped to assess, prescribe, guide, and improve. You are agents of change in promoting active lifestyles and preventing non-communicable diseases.”
