Over 200 cyclists are gearing up for the 2026 edition of the annual bike race, Ride Afrique, scheduled for Saturday, 4th April, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The prestigious event, which has received endorsement from the National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and sanctioned by the Ghana Cycling Federation, aims to promote the sport and reward cyclists from across the country, and Africa.
“Ride Afrique has become a benchmark event for cycling in Ghana, and Africa and we’re excited to see the growth and interest in the sport.” – Richard Agu, CEO of Ride Afrique.
Both male and female cyclists will compete for honors in the 30 laps (105KM) and 15 laps (52.5KM) respectively.
According to Richard Agu, preparations are far advanced, with suitable measures outlined to ensure a successful event.

As part of their missions, Agu revealed that the male winner of this year’s competition would have a firsthand cycling experience with an organization in Spain.

Winners of the event would walk home with cash prizes, equipments, and products from sponsors.
