Medeama SC’s 17-game unbeaten streak in the Ghana Premier League was shattered on Friday as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

Kingsley Braye’s eighth-minute header gave Medeama SC the lead, but Nations FC fought back inspired by captain Razak Simpson, who scored a header and converted a penalty to lead 2-1 at halftime.

Despite Medeama SC’s pressure in the second half, Nations FC’s defence held firm, securing a memorable 2-1 win. Simpson’s brace ended Medeama SC’s unbeaten run, which stretched back to September 2025 .
