David Moyes has expressed his delight at returning to Everton as manager, 10 years after his initial departure. The 61-year-old Scottish tactician has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Toffees, following the dismissal of Sean Dyche.

Moyes, who previously managed Everton from 2002 to 2013, is eager to replicate his past success at Goodison Park. During his initial stint, he established the club as a consistent top-seven finisher in the Premier League.

Everton is currently 16th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone, with only three wins from 19 games. Moyes is counting on the support of the fans to help turn the team’s fortunes around.

“I’m thrilled to be back at Everton, a club that holds a special place in my heart,” Moyes said. “I’m looking forward to working with the players and staff to ensure we secure our Premier League status and move into our new stadium with momentum.”
