Epiphany Warriors FC made an impressive start in the 2024/2025 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League on Saturday, October 19, as they secured a dominant 2-0 victory over Faith Ladies at the Adjiringanor Astro Turf.

The debutants showcased their strength and tactical preparation, having bolstered their squad with six new signings across midfield, defence, and attack, as well as new head coach Emmanuel Selassie Pentem.

After a goalless first half, Beline Nyarko broke the deadlock in the 47th minute, followed by Jessica Appiah Asamoah’s clinical finish in the 55th minute.

Despite efforts from Faith Ladies, known for their “we know no defeat” mantra, they were unable to break down Epiphany’s solid defence.

This victory marked a stunning debut for Epiphany Warriors, while former Super Cup champions Faith Ladies were left shocked by the result.

The match was officiated by Rejoice Addokwei, with assistance from Winfred Adokoh, Portia Ofosu, and Cynthia Anafo.
