The President of Salpholda Ventures, Mr. Adolf Adjei, also an active player in the Masters division, shared his insights and appealed for greater sponsorship in a recent interview about the ongoing Salpholda hockey league.

In a conversation with the media, the CEO expressed his satisfaction with the league’s progress, emphasising the dedication of both the players and the officials. “The level of commitment from our players and the professionalism of our officiating officials have been commendable. It’s truly inspiring to see the passion for hockey in Ghana,” he remarked.

As a key sponsor of the league, Salpholda Ventures has played a crucial role in supporting the sport. However, the president acknowledged that sustaining and growing the league requires more than what a single sponsor can provide. “While Salpholda Ventures is proud to support hockey in Ghana, we cannot do it all alone. We need more sponsors to come on board to help develop and nurture this sport further,” he urged.

He highlighted the importance of additional funding to improve facilities, support training programs, and create more opportunities for young athletes. “Investing in hockey is investing in the future of our youth and the community. We need better infrastructure and resources to ensure that Ghanaian hockey reaches its full potential,” he added.

The president’s dual role as a sponsor and player gives him a unique perspective on the sport’s needs and the potential benefits of increased sponsorship. “Being involved both on and off the field allows me to see firsthand the impact that support can have. It motivates me to push for more collaboration and investment,” he said.

The interview concluded with a hopeful call to action for businesses and organisations to support the growth of hockey in Ghana. “Together, we can make hockey a prominent sport in our country and provide our athletes with the opportunities they deserve,” he concluded.

Salpholda are 3rd on the league log with 9 points after their 1-0 defeat to rivals Multi Stix.
