ASFA RC of Senegal has emerged triumphant at the 8th TIREC, held at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium on December 20-21, 2025. The Senegalese side dominated Lions de Bobo of Burkina Faso 19-0 in the final, maintaining their unbeaten streak throughout the tournament.

Ghana’s Conquerors RC secured bronze, thrashing TRUC RC of Cote D’Ivoire 29-5.
Rugby Africa President Herbert Mensah attended the event, commending the Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) for their efforts.


The tournament brought together six West African rugby powerhouses: ASFA RC (Senegal), Lions de Bobo (Burkina Faso), Conquerors RC (Ghana), TRUC RC (Cote D’Ivoire), Elite RC (Togo), and Alligator RC (Benin).
