Ghanaian Wrestlers Head to Guinea Bissau for Intensive Training Camp

Two young Ghanaian wrestlers, Prince Nimo Owusu and Muphtawu Mohammad, accompanied by coach Twumasi Addo, have departed for Guinea Bissau to participate in a 6-day training camp. The camp, scheduled from April 6 to April 12, 2026, is part of Ghana’s preparations for the upcoming Youth Olympic Games in Senegal.

The training camp is sponsored by the United World Wrestling (UWW) and Olympic Solidarity under the “Road to Dakar” project, aimed at intensively preparing young athletes for the games. The camp will provide the selected athletes with valuable international exposure and training experience.

The Youth Olympic Games, taking place in Dakar, Senegal, is a key platform for young athletes to showcase their skills. Ghana is optimistic about making a mark in the games, and this training camp is a crucial step in their preparations.
