Nii Otoo Larkyne, affectionately known as “Super” journey to becoming one of Africa’s top Armwrestling referees began in 2017. He had officiated over 200 games on the continent, earning respect and recognition from athletes and peers alike. But he didn’t stop there.

In 2023, Super achieved a milestone: he earned his World junior referee badge. This distinction opened doors to the global stage, where he has since officiated over 50 games, including the recent World Armwrestling Championships in Moldova.

As a junior referee at the Championships, Super proved himself among the best, demonstrating his mastery of the rules and his ability to remain calm under pressure. Back in Ghana, he is second in command, working closely with Head Referee Mr. Hussein Akueteh Addy to grow the sport.

Since Armwrestling’s introduction in Ghana in 2016 by Charles Osei Asibey, Super has been instrumental in its development, officiating countless games and helping to establish the country as a force in the sport. His dedication and expertise have earned him a reputation as one of the best referees on the continent.

Now, with his junior referee badge in the World, Super is poised to take his career to new heights, inspiring others with his passion and commitment to the sport he loves.
