Golden Girls, Blessed Abeka Nunoo and Mabel Yeboah, have emerged as Double World Champions at the ongoing World Armwrestling Championship in New Delhi, India.

The two stars put up dominant performances, winning four gold medals each for Ghana after defeating top-ranked opponents from armwrestling powerhouses such as Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Sweden, USA, India and many others.
Their remarkable achievement has cemented Ghana’s reputation as a rising powerhouse in world armwrestling. The Golden Arms continue to defy the odds despite competing against countries with superior resources and infrastructure.

“This is a proud moment for Ghana. Our Golden Girls have shown that Ghana can compete and win against the best in the world. Four gold medals each is no small achievement,” he said.
Ghana’s Golden Arms are competing in the 2026 World Armwrestling Championship with a strong contingent and are expected to win more medals for the country.
The team is being supported by the Ghana High Commission in India led by H.E. Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso.
