The World HUSNA Federation has stepped up preparations for the HUSNA Inter-Police League and the Northern Belt Youth League with a high-powered stakeholders meeting held at its office in Tuba.

The meeting, held on 30th September, 2026, brought together the Founder of the World HUSNA Federation, Mr. Mahadi Mohammed, and his Secretary, Ing. Dr. Mansuur Husein, the President of the West African Subregion HUSNA Federation, Chief Ibrahim (Kankapuuya Naa, Chief of Digari-1), and the Deputy Director of Sports at the Ghana Police Service, ASP Benjamin Amissah, who represented the Director of Sports. Also in attendance was ASP Madam Bernice Rashida Timbilla of the Ghana Police Service.
The meeting focused on preparations for the two leagues, themed “Operation Homeland Security”, scheduled to take place from 10th to 23rd October, 2027 at the HUSNA office in Tuba.
As part of efforts to ensure successful organization, Mr. Abdul Majeed, Aide to Chief Ibrahim, and Mr. Daniel Addo have been invited to join the marketing and sponsorship committee.
Chief Ibrahim used the occasion to call on other traditional leaders to support HUSNA sports as a tool for promoting peace and unity in communities.
He also backed his call with action, donating a substantial amount of cash to support ongoing preparations for the leagues and pledging to do his best to ensure the success of the events and the realisation of the organisation’s aims and objectives.
In a major boost for youth development, Mr. Mahadi Mohammed, who doubles as President of the Ghana Fencing Association, promised to reserve two slots for youth from the Talensi Traditional Area to participate in the upcoming 2027 Fencing World Championship in Turkey.
As part of the preparatory activities for the Northern Belt League, 10 youth from Bolgatanga will also be selected and trained for the competition.
The two leagues are expected to use sports to foster national cohesion, youth empowerment and community security.
