Ghana Taekwondo Federation Appoints Prince Ayim Brown As Communications Officer

The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has appointed veteran journalist and sports media professional Prince Ayim Brown as its new Communications Officer.

His appointment, which takes effect from September 7, 2026, was announced by the Secretary-General, Mr. Kankpenuba Peter Nuntaa Wisdom, and is for an initial period of two years.

As Communications Officer, Mr. Brown will lead the Federation’s communication and publicity efforts, working closely with the leadership, Regional Associations, clubs and media partners to strengthen the Federation’s public engagement and visibility.

His responsibilities will include coordinating the Federation’s official communications, managing its social media and digital platforms, documenting activities, programmes and competitions, preparing press releases and other media content, and promoting the achievements and development of Taekwondo in Ghana.

The role will also support stronger engagement between the Federation and the media, ensuring that GTF activities and the work of its athletes, coaches, officials and associations receive consistent and professional coverage.

Mr. Brown brings more than 15 years of experience in journalism, with a career spanning broadcast journalism, sports reporting, news production and media management.

He has worked extensively with Global Media Alliance, serving as a Presenter and Producer at Happy FM and eTV Ghana, where he rose to become Acting Head of Sports and Co-Host of the Happy Morning Show. He also serves as Associate Editor of Happy Ghana.

He previously held senior newsroom and sports roles at Amansan Television (ATV), including Acting Head of News, Head of Sports and Team Lead for the station’s 2016 Elections coverage.

His journalism career has included extensive coverage of sports and major sporting events in Ghana and internationally, including the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, 2026 African Athletics Championship, 2023 African Games and 2018 WAFCOM.
