The National Sports College’s five-day Basic Certificate Course in Sports Psychology has successfully concluded at the Accra Sports Stadium. The program, themed “Mental Preparation as a Driver of Sustainable Performance Enhancement in Sports,” drew 15 participants and ran from March 9-13, 2026.

Led by experts Dr. John Elvis Hagan and Dr. Medina Srem-Sai, the course covered key areas including Sports Leadership, Mental Preparation, and Coaching Female Athletes. Participants engaged in both theoretical and practical sessions, applying psychological techniques in real sporting contexts.

Graduates of the basic level can now progress to the Intermediate Level, scheduled for September at the National Sports College, Winneba, to further develop their expertise.
