The second edition of the Otumfuo Smash Table Tennis Tournament has come to a close, with James Marfo and Augustina Baidoo emerging champions in the Men’s and Women’s Singles categories, respectively.

The tournament, organized by the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), brought together top players and emerging talents in a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship.
Marfo, who had an impressive run, defeated Francis Antwi in the Men’s Singles final to claim top prize. Emmanuel Commey and Samuel Hagan took joint third place.

In the Women’s Singles, Baidoo produced a strong performance to secure the championship, beating Cynthia Kwabi in the final. Eva Adom-Amankwaa and Joanita Borteye finished joint third.
Other winners included Joanita Borteye (Girls Under-19), Israel Aklie (Boys Under-19), Emmanuel Azu (Boys Under-12), and Lovelyn Akua Yeboah (Girls Under-12).
The tournament has cemented its reputation as a key platform for developing table tennis in Ghana, attracting top competitors and providing exposure for young players.
The success of this edition has set the stage for future events, with organizers aiming to expand participation and nurture the next generation of table tennis stars.
