Cynthia Kwabi has emerged victorious at the 2026 Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) Sheroes series, held at the DG Hathiramani Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium. The reigning champion successfully defended her title, defeating Joanita Borteye 4-3 in a thrilling final.

Kwabi, who dominated the first three sets 3-0, looked set for an easy win. However, Borteye mounted a stunning comeback, leveling the score to 3-3. Undeterred, Kwabi showed her experience and skill to seal the win in the deciding set.

The final was a repeat of the Sheroes 2, where Kwabi had defeated Borteye 4-1. Kwabi’s path to the final was not without challenges, having faced a tough quarterfinal match against Emerald Bortey, who led 3-0 and was 5-2 up in the fourth set. Kwabi staged an incredible comeback, winning 4-3 to progress to the semis.

In the semifinals, Kwabi overcame Eva Adom-Amankwaa 4-1, while Borteye beat Emmanuella Yaa Kyere by the same scoreline. Kwabi’s victory in Sheroes 3 adds to her impressive record in the series, having won two of the three competitions and finishing joint third in the first edition.

The quarterfinals of Sheroes 3 were highly competitive, with three of the four matches going to 4-3. Kwabi’s triumph solidifies her position as one of the top players in Ghana, and her experience will be invaluable as she looks to continue her winning streak.
