The National Sports College in Winneba is making steady progress with its ongoing renovation works. According to the Director, Mr. Bawah Fuseini, the college is on track to regain its former glory by December.

Speaking to Obu Sports, Mr. Fuseini explained that the renovations aim to create a center of excellence, equipped with modern facilities that ensure a clean, serene, and conducive environment for anyone who access the facilities.

“We want our facilities to reflect the high standards we strive for,” Mr. Fuseini said. “We’re renovating all the hostels, installing new beds, bathroom accessories, and tiles to create a comfortable and decent living space for our guests. The technical department, guesthouse, football pitch, and tennis courts are also undergoing refurbishment. We’re currently 60% complete with the football pitch and expect to finish all the works by December.”

The renovations will position the National Sports College as a premier hub for sports excellence, enabling it to host a wide range of programs and events. Mr. Fuseini expressed his optimism, stating, “The opportunities and potential are huge, and we aim to explore them to the maximum. With the support of the Minister, Honourable Kofi Adams, we’re committed to making the sports college a standard for institutions in Ghana and Africa to emulate.”
