The National Sports College in Winneba has successfully wrapped up a 5-day certificate course in Sports Psychology, themed “Integrating Psychology in Sport Coaching for Performance Enhancement and Wellbeing.”

The program, which drew 37 participants nationwide, aimed to equip coaches with the knowledge and skills to enhance athlete performance and wellbeing.
Technical Director Mr. Emmanuel Appiah, representing the College Director, praised participants for their dedication and encouraged them to apply their newfound knowledge to drive sports development in Ghana. Participants expressed gratitude to the College and resource persons, Drs. Elvis Hagan and Medina Srem-Sai, for sharing valuable insights.
The course provided participants with practical tools to integrate sports psychology into their coaching practices, focusing on performance enhancement and athlete wellbeing. With this newfound expertise, participants are poised to make a positive impact in Ghana’s sports landscape.
