Accra Great Olympics has announced the signing of former FC Nania captain Kojo Zimbo on a two-year deal. Zimbo, a talented defender, leaves FC Nania after five impressive years with the club.
During his time at FC Nania, Zimbo was a stalwart in the team, playing in 29 out of 30 games in the 2023/24 zone three season. He started every match except one, accumulating an impressive 2,595 minutes on the pitch.
What’s more remarkable about Zimbo’s performance is his goal-scoring ability from defense. He managed to score seven goals, making him the joint top scorer for Nania, alongside Peter Fiifi Hammond. His goals came from a variety of sources, including three free kicks, two penalties, and two headers.
Zimbo’s outstanding performance didn’t go unnoticed, as he won four Man of the Match awards against tough opponents. His leadership and defensive skills will undoubtedly be an asset to the Accra Great Olympics, and fans can expect great things from him in the upcoming season.

With Zimbo’s signing, Accra Great Olympics has strengthened its defence and added a new dimension to its attack as the club seeks to bounce back to the Ghana Premier League after being relegated in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
