Hohoe United’s hopes of a vital win were dashed when captain Safianu Usman missed a second-half penalty in a tense 0-0 draw with Heart of Lions at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Friday.

The home side had dominated much of the game, creating more clear chances and shots on target, but a lack of clinical finishing proved costly against a well-organized Lions defense.
Heart of Lions, despite having more possession, struggled to create scoring opportunities, and the result sees them extend their steady run of form, remaining sixth in the Premier League table.

However, the draw is a setback for Hohoe United, who now find themselves precariously close to the relegation zone, sitting just one place above the drop. The pressure is mounting on their campaign.
