Crystal Palace climbed into the Premier League’s top four with a dramatic late winner at Fulham, courtesy of captain Marc Guehi’s stunning header.
The Eagles secured back-to-back away wins as Guehi’s 87th-minute goal sealed a 2-1 victory at Craven Cottage, lifting Oliver Glasner’s side to fourth place.
The match had looked destined for a draw after Harry Wilson’s superb equalizer for Fulham cancelled out Eddie Nketiah’s early strike for Palace. But Guehi’s late heroics ensured the Eagles grabbed all three points, despite Fulham’s claims for a late winner of their own, which was ruled out for offside.
The win is a huge boost for Palace, who have struggled to cope with the demands of European football this season. A Champions League spot is now a genuine possibility for Glasner’s side.
Fulham, meanwhile, suffer a second defeat in a week, following their 5-4 loss to Manchester City on Tuesday. They remain 15th in the table, four points above the drop zone.
