The Black Stars of Ghana delivered a commanding 5-0 victory over Central African Republic in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Stade d’Honneur in Meknes, Morocco. The match was dominated by Ghana from the onset, with key players making significant contributions.

Mohammed Salisu opened the scoring in the 20th minute, heading in a corner kick from Mohammed Kudus. After the break, Thomas Partey doubled the lead with a stunning goal in the 52nd minute, courtesy of an assist from Jordan Ayew. Alexander Djiku made it 3-0 in the 69th minute, before Jordan Ayew netted the fourth goal two minutes later. Kamaldeen Sulemana sealed the win with the fifth goal in the 87th minute, assisted by Joseph Paintsil.

This resounding victory puts Ghana in a strong position to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the USA. The Black Stars currently top Group I with 22 points, three points clear of second-placed Madagascar. Ghana’s final match in the qualifiers will be against Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12, 2025.
