National Sports College to Host Certificate Course in Sports Management and Administration

The National Sports College in Winneba is set to host a certificate course in Sports Management and Administration from September 22-25, 2025. Over 100 participants have registered for the course, which promises to be an exciting opportunity for sports professionals and enthusiasts.

The course will be facilitated by renowned resource personnel, including Dr. Austin Luguterah, Director of Sports at the University of Ghana, and Prof. Daniel Apark, Associate Professor at the University of Cape Coast.

Technical Director of the National Sports College, Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Appiah, highlighted the College’s plans to organize other courses in the coming months.

“Last month we had a sports psychology course,” he said. “Now we are going on to have a sports management and administration course. And we’ve recorded over 100 participants. We have plans to do other courses in October, November, and December, which will be advertised soon.”

Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Appiah, has expressed satisfaction with the progress being made by the technical department, despite having a limited number of personnel.

“We are moving steadily,” he said. “Though we don’t have many personnel at the technical department, the few there are working with, and we are encouraging them.”

Mr. Appiah attributed the College’s vibrancy to the Director of the National Sports College, Mr. Bawah Fuseini. “I’ll take credit to the director,” he said. “He’s a very active type. He carries us along, and we are enjoying that. We really appreciate what’s happening in recent months.”

The certificate course in Sports Management and Administration is expected to provide valuable insights and skills to participants, and the National Sports College is poised to continue its tradition of excellence in sports education and training.
