The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has upheld the protest filed by Basake Holy Stars FC regarding the abrupt end of their match against Nations FC. The Committee found Nations FC guilty of initiating acts that led to the abandonment of the match and subsequently awarded a 3-0 win to Basake Holy Stars FC.

Nations FC has been slapped with multiple sanctions, including:
- A three-point deduction from their accumulated points in the ongoing season
- A fine of GH₵2,500, with half (GH₵1,250) payable to Basake Holy Stars FC and the remainder to the GFA
- The club is considered to have forfeited the match, resulting in a 3-0 loss
The Disciplinary Committee has also directed the GFA Prosecutor to investigate the incident and prosecute individuals found culpable.
Parties dissatisfied with the ruling can appeal to the GFA Appeals Committee within one day of notification.
The ruling significantly boosted Basake Holy Stars FC’s position on the league table. Meanwhile, Bibiani GoldStars were confirmed winners of the league after Nations FC suffered a 2-0 loss on the final day of the season.
