Hohoe United has emerged as the champion of Zone Three in the Access Bank Division One League, accumulating 72 points from 30 matches. The team from Hohoe demonstrated exceptional performance, winning 23 games, losing 4, and drawing 3.

With a 5-point lead over second-placed Port City, who finished with 67 points, Hohoe United showcased their dominance in the league. The team’s impressive record against other top teams, including Port City, Okwahu United, and Great Olympics, underscores their strength.

Hohoe United was formerly known as Liberty Professionals, which was relegated from the Ghana Premier League in the 2020-21 season. The Ghana Football Association approved the club’s name change to Hohoe United in June 2023.

Hohoe United’s championship title will be officially confirmed on Saturday, June 7, 2025, when they host Home Stars at the Hohoe Stadium in their coronation game.

Zone Three has consistently produced talented teams that have gone on to compete in the Ghana Premier League. In the last four seasons, teams like Accra Lions, Kotoku Royals, Heart of Lions, and Vision FC have qualified for the top-tier league from this zone.
