The Ghana Independence Day Aerobathon, held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Zulka Astroturf Park, was a resounding success. The event, sponsored by First Choice High Protein Recovery in collaboration with Functional Sports Ghana, drew a massive participation of nearly 300 people from various keep fit clubs across the nation.

The Aerobathon, celebrated with great enthusiasm, highlighted the importance of health, fitness, and proper nutrition. According to Charles Owusu Ansah, President of Functional Sports League Ghana, “We want to bring people out to celebrate our independence and also celebrate good health and nutrition.”

Ansah expressed his satisfaction with the event’s turnout, stating, “The reception has been good. It started slowly, but over the years, it has picked up. Today, we have close to 300 people coming out, which means it has the potential to develop into something bigger and greater.”

The event aimed to promote physical activity and healthy living, with Ansah emphasizing the importance of exercise. “Exercise is medicine. Exercise can let you live longer than your age. Exercise can let you save a lot of money,” he said.

First Choice High Protein Recovery, a milk-based drink designed for individuals needing to replenish energy and maintain balanced nourishment on the go, played a central role in the event. With its high protein content, added vitamins, and low-calorie count, the drink has set new standards in the realm of health and fitness beverages.

The Ghana Independence Day Aerobathon has set the stage for a larger fitness fair, where people can come together to promote healthy living, check their health status, and mingle with like-minded individuals.
