Ghana’s Youth Baseball5 team, the Golden Palms, jetted off to Cape Town, South Africa, on Tuesday to defend their crown as African Champions.
The African Youth Championship features six nations—host South Africa, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Lesotho, and Ghana—all vying for 2 spots in the Youth World Championship in Mexico later this year.
The Golden Palms begin their campaign today at 10 AM GMT against Tunisia. Can they retain their title and make Ghana proud once again? The championship starts with back-to-back action from today to the 12th of January.
Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Ernest Danso, the team is confident and ready for the challenge. We urge all Ghanaians to rally behind this talented group as they face off against the continent over the next four days.
