Ghana’s dynamic youth Armwrestlers, Blessed Naa Abeka Nunoo, Henry Otoo, and Daniel Acquah, on Saturday displayed super proficient and adept Armwrestling skills to secure impressive wins in the prestigious De Fin Dannee Armwrestling event at Au Stade Municipal de Lome in Togo.
The event, which was under the auspices of Togo’s Ministry of Sports for celebrating the country’s success in the 2023 African Games, attracted over 200 pullers from Togo, Nigeria, Ghana, and Benin in various categories.
Blessed Naa Abeka Nunoo, currently ranked World No. 5 and Africa’s No. 1 in the Youth 60kg women category, delivered a stunning performance. Despite being significantly lighter, she defeated two formidable Togolese pullers, Ako Assoli (86 kg) and Charite Nukunu (94 kg), in the finals to win Gold.
This impressive feat showcases Blessed’s exceptional strength, technique, and determination to become the world’s best.
Henry Otoo and Daniel Acquah also put up an impressive show, battling their way to clash at the finals of the Men 70kg category, where both won Gold and Silver medals, respectively.
As a result of their impressive performance, all three Ghanaian armwrestlers have automatically qualified for the 2025 edition of the De Fin Danee Armwrestling Championship.
Their splendid performances in Togo are a testament to their dedication, hard work, and Ghana’s growing presence in the world of Armwrestling.
