Ghanaian Armwrestling sensation Blessed Abeka Nunoo has been nominated for the SWAG Prospect of the Year award at the upcoming 49th SWAG Awards.
Nunoo’s impressive year saw her win two gold medals at the 13th African Games, making her one of the few Ghanaians to achieve this feat. Her dominance on the Armwrestling stage continued with a strong performance at the World Armwrestling Championship, where she narrowly missed the podium with a 4th-place finish in her division.
Additionally, Nunoo secured a silver medal at the Friday Night Armwrestling Championship, further solidifying her position as one of Ghana’s top Armwrestling prospects.
The SWAG Prospect of the Year award recognises emerging talent in Ghanaian sports, and Nunoo’s nomination is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and potential for future success.
The 49th SWAG Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 24, 2025, and will honour outstanding sports personalities, teams, and officials who have made significant contributions to Ghanaian sports.
