Italian female boxer Angela Carini [in blue] abandoned her fight against Algerian Imane Khelif after 46 seconds at the Paris Olympic Games boxing event.
It was suspected that the Italian broke her nose and complained, ‘It’s not right’.
Angela Carini, in her post-bout interview, said she had never been hit that way in her boxing career.
“I’ve never been hit so hard in my life. It’s up to the IOC to judge if this fight was fair.”
Carini abandoned her round of 16 bouts with 🇩🇿 Imane Khelif, who is at thcentreer of a gender row and was cleared to fight in Paris at the last minute.
Imane Khelif [in red] previously failed a gender eligibility test but competed at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
