Hearts of Oak’s coach, Aboubakar Outtara, has opened up on his expectations for the upcoming season, the challenges facing the team, and the state of the Ghanaian football transfer market.
At a press conference to address the state of the club, Outtara shared his thoughts on the club’s targets, the difficulties in securing player contracts, and the surprising departure of midfielder Salifu Ibrahim. Here’s what he had to say:
“Ghana Premier League will commence on 6th September yet there are players whose contract will end on 15th September; this is unprofessional”
“The transfer market in Ghana is very tough now, there are players you even have to engage their parents”
“Salifu Ibrahim looked into my eyes and told me he would not play for Accra Hearts of Oak again on three occasions, and you want me to beg him.”
