President of Ghana Athletics, Bawa Fuseini says Gadayi’s inability to go for the Olympics Games is a result of a new regulation introduced by the International Olympics Committee.

Edwin Gadayi who was part of the team that qualified for the Olympics Games 4X100 men’s relay event in Bahamas will not be in Paris for the festival. But Bawa Fuseini told Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy Sports that Gadayi was part of their first list for the Games till the new regulation came.

“It was not our decision to take him out because he was in our first list for the Olympic Games, and we know this will be hard for them.”

“However, we have already spoken to Manu and Gadayi will be next so that they understand why they will not be going to the Games,” Bawa said on Happy Sports.

First batch of Ghana’s Olympics team have arrived in France for Pre-Camping ahead of the Olympic Games, which starts on July 26. The team includes
