In the first round of the CAF Champions League 2024–25, Victoria United FC of Cameroon has been drawn to play FC Samartex 1996, the winners of the Ghana Premier League.
After their historic league title triumph, Samartex is making their first appearance in the competition.
On July 11, 2024, the draw ceremony was place at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Accra Sports Stadium, which Samartex has selected as their competition location, will host their home leg of the match.
The victor of the August preliminary round will go on to play either ASGNN of Niger or Moroccan powerhouse Raja Club Athletic in the September second round.
