The Ghana Kendo Federation on Saturday hosted the National Inter-Club Kendo KYU Championship at the DG Hathramani Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium, bringing together practitioners from as young as 6 years to adults.
The championship, aimed at promoting discipline, respect and skill development in Kendo, was competed across six different age categories.

Adeti Christiana of the Female 14-16 category was named Best Female Athlete of the championship, while Christopher Botchway, winner of the Male 21 and above category, was named Best Male Athlete. Both received trophies for their outstanding performance and hard work on the day.
The event marked another milestone for Kendo in Ghana as the federation continues efforts to grow the Japanese martial art at the grassroots and club levels.
