The Ghana Revenue Authority ladies sent a ruthless statement in Week 2 of the Greater Accra Hockey League, dismantling the University of Ghana hockey ladies 21-0 in a one-sided affair at the weekend. The emphatic victory underscores GRA’s title ambitions as the league gathers momentum.

Leading the charge was forward Vivian Nakour the three times Africa hockey Club champions Top score, who delivered a clinical attacking display to score twelve goals in the rout.

Her haul not only powered GRA to their biggest win of the season but also sent her to the top of the league’s scoring chart, and her exceptional ability and composure on the pitch played a major role in the team’s success.

Despite her individual brilliance, Nakour was quick to share the credit. Speaking after the game, she described the performance as a total team effort and called the moment unforgettable.

“I couldn’t have done it alone, many thanks to my teammates for the great support and work. This is beautiful for us to score them 21, we will continue to push harder for me,” she stated.

The 21-0 scoreline marks one of the heaviest defeats in week 2, and puts the rest of the division on notice.

For Nakour, the Greater Accra League is more than just local bragging rights.

“The league serves as a platform for me to pursue greater heights at the next African Cup for Club Championships, ACCC,” she said.

With two weeks played, GRA, and Vivian Nakour have laid down a marker while UG Ladies will look to regroup ahead of their next fixture.

The GRA men also recorded a 1-0 win over Legonite.

Other result in week 2 saw Fire service draw 1 all with Army, Ark ladies played Goalless with Police ladies.

The Exchequers had a 2-1 win over Police Men, Prisons also thrashed the University of Ghana 9-0.
