Manhia Palace has officially announced that His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has appointed a fresh Board of Directors for Asante Kotoko Sporting Club. The new board is chaired by Mr. James Osei Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction, with Mr. Kwasi Osei Ofori, Chief Executive Officer of Rocksure, serving as Vice‑Chairman. The other appointee is Mr. Kofi Amoa‑Abban, Founder and Chief Executive of Rigworld Group.
The board will assume statutory oversight responsibilities immediately, though the Interim Management Committee (IMC) will continue handling day‑to‑day management duties until the end of the 2025/2026 Premier League season. Chief of Staff at Manhia, Mr. Kofi Badu, presided over an introductory meeting where the new board was presented to the interim management team, emphasizing a smooth transition and cooperation.
Chairman Mr. Osei Brown expressed the board’s determination to elevate Asante Kotoko SC to its deserved stature, urging the management to double efforts in the remaining weeks of the season. Nana Akwasi Awuah Apinkrah, Chairman of the IMC, welcomed the new board and pledged full support during the transition period.
The announcement comes as the club looks to revitalize its operations and performance in the upcoming league fixtures, with stakeholders awaiting the impact of the new leadership on the team’s strategy and results.
