Asante Kotoko SC, the defending MTN FA Cup champions, have been knocked out of the competition after a 4-2 penalty shootout loss to Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday. The match had ended goalless after regulation time.

Aduana FC proved stronger in the shootout, converting 4 of their kicks to secure a quarterfinal spot. Earlier, Dreams FC, the 2023 champions, defeated Inter Allies 4-2 with a hat-trick from Razak Salifu, while Berekum Chelsea edged Tamale City 1-0.
Other winners included Techiman Liberty Youth, who thumped Real Tamale United 3-0, and Heart of Lions, who overcame True Life FC 3-2. The quarterfinal lineup is complete with Aduana FC, Berekum Chelsea, Techiman Liberty Youth, Dreams FC, Kpando Heart of Lions, Attram De Visser, Medeama SC, and Nations FC all set for the next round.
