Ghanaian-Born Golfer Danny List Eager To Elevate Golf In Ghana

Accra, Ghana – Ghanaian-born Australian golfer, Danny List, met with the press at the Accra Sports Stadium’s Media Centre on Wednesday, February 26, to share his passion for golf and his mission to promote the sport in Ghana.

List, who was visibly excited to be back in his homeland, expressed his pride in being Ghanaian. “I’m always proud to be in Ghana and be with Ghanaian people. Coming back home is truly a homecoming experience,” he said.

As a professional golfer, List’s ultimate goal is to become the best player in the world and contend in major championships. However, he also has a strong desire to uplift the status of golf in Ghana.

“Golf is growing in popularity among Ghanaian youth, and I want to do my part to inspire and support them,” List stated. “I believe that golf has the potential to be a major sport in Ghana, and I’m committed to helping make that a reality.”

List also revealed that he is in the process of switching allegiance from Australia to Ghana, with the ultimate goal of representing Ghana at the Olympics.

“As a citizen of both Ghana and Australia, I feel a strong connection to Ghana, and I want to represent the country and inspire the next generation of Ghanaian golfers,” List explained. “I’m going through the process of switching allegiance, and I hope to represent Ghana at the Olympics in the future.”

With his passion for golf and his commitment to promoting the sport in Ghana, Danny List is sure to make a positive impact on the golfing community in Ghana.
