Manchester United pulled off a stunning 10-man victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup third round, winning 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1 after extra time.

Despite being reduced to 10 men for nearly an hour after Diogo Dalot’s red card, United took the lead through a brilliant Bruno Fernandes strike in the 52nd minute. However, Arsenal equalized just two minutes after Dalot’s dismissal, with Gabriel volleying home from inside the area.

The Gunners were awarded a penalty in the 75th minute, but Martin Odegaard’s spot-kick was saved by United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir. Arsenal had several chances to win the game in extra time, but Bayindir’s heroics denied them.

In the penalty shootout, Joshua Zirkzee scored the winning penalty, sending David Raya the wrong way to seal United’s place in the fourth round. The defeat marks Arsenal’s third exit in the FA Cup third round in four seasons.
