The course, which commenced on Monday, November 25, and ended on Friday, November 29, provided 30 young coaches with valuable knowledge and skills in athletics coaching.

The participants, comprising 25 males and 5 females, underwent comprehensive training in various aspects of athletics coaching, including energy systems and training, principles of coaching and training, coaching philosophy, talent identification, sports management, sports psychology, growth and development, periodisation, practical sessions, and injury prevention.

According to Dr. Julius Baba Apidogo, Director of the AAMUSTED Sports Directorate and one of the facilitators, “We believe that providing coaches with the necessary knowledge and skills is crucial for developing athletes.
