Table Tennis: The Black Loopers have arrived in Nigeria for the WTT Contender tournament in Lagos

The Ghana Table Tennis national team, the Black Loopers, are currently in Nigeria for the upcoming WTT Contender in Lagos. The competition starts on Wednesday, 19th June, and ends on Sunday, 23rd June 2024.

The competition will be held at the Sir Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Sports Hall, where Table Tennis stars from across the globe will compete for points.

Ghana has sent a contingent of 13 players, comprising 9 males, 4 females, and three coaches. The following players will be representing Ghana:

Two of our players, James Marfo and Godwin Alabi, have already advanced to the main draw. James Marfo will face World No. 12, Dimitrij Ovtcharov of Germany, in round 32, but Godwin Alabi will have to start in round 64.
