The Ghana Fencing Association has secured a one-year FIE coaching course for Rita Sosu at ETA University College in South Africa. Sosu, who arrived in South Africa on February 28, 2026, is the sixth Ghanaian to benefit from this full scholarship.

Sosu will undergo training as part of the FIE’s efforts to develop fencing in Africa. Upon completion, she’s expected to serve for a year in one of Ghana’s 16 regions, contributing to the growth of fencing in the country.

The Ghana Fencing Association continues to support athlete development, and this opportunity will enhance Sosu’s coaching skills and benefit Ghanaian fencing.
