Ghana Badminton Wraps Up 2025 with Thrilling Regional Mixed Team Ranking Championships

The Ghana Badminton Federation concluded the 2025 Regional Mixed Team Badminton Ranking Championships at the Borteman Sports Complex on December 26-27, 2025. The event featured four categories: Men’s singles, Women’s singles, Men’s doubles, and Mixed Doubles.

Results:

  • Men’s Singles: Andy Amofa defeated Ahmed Samad 2-1 (7-21, 21-15, 21-19)
  • Women’s Singles: Jennifer Eduam beat Margaret Amiokor Sarpeima Sarpei 2-0 (21-17, 21-11)
  • Men’s Doubles: Francis Obeng-Shang and Reuben Teye Tetteh won 2-0 (21-17, 21-13)
  • Mixed Doubles: Reuben Teye Tetteh and Jessica Naa Lomotey took gold

Other Medalists:

  • Leslie Nii Adote Addo defeated Tettey Vincent Nii-Teye 2-1 (21-15, 21-23, 21-18) in Men’s singles
  • Alana Faith Sullo won bronze in Women’s singles
  • Lesile Nii Adote Addo and Aaron Tamakloe took bronze in Men’s Doubles
  • Douglas Keddy and Vanessa Anyetel won silver in Mixed doubles
  • Jim Harris Tetteh and Stephanie Appiah won bronze in Mixed doubles

Ghana Badminton President Evans Yeboah praised the event, highlighting emerging talent from remote regions. “We saw very new emerging talent… It will enable us to build upon that and invite them to the national team.”

The championships, held every three years, aimed to identify talent and feed into the national team. Yeboah added, “This year has been awesome. Ghana performed exceptionally well in all disciplines.”
